An Excellent Dinner & Lewis and Clark Program

Commemoration of Meriwether Lewis’s Death at the October 2009 Hohenwald Tennessee Grinder’s Stand Bicentennial Program, including “Murder or Suicide?”

Also, a report from Clarence Stessman, “Sacagawea at Fort Osage", and planning for the 200th anniversary year in 2011.

Your check is your reservation. We need to have a head count by Wednesday, January 27.

You may bring a spouse or friend(s) who is not a member of the chapter. We hope to recruit new members who you may wish to invite. Please reserve the time now and send your check!

We'll open with a cash bar at 5:00 p.m. The bar is separate from the dinner. We'll have an opportunity to view personal photos of events from 2004 through 2009. After socializing, we'll start dinner at 6:00 p.m., with a choice of 4 Italian entrees, such as chicken limonata, lasagna, shrimp fettuccini and canneloni, plus a salad, dessert and coffee or tea.

The program begins at 7:00 p.m. with a commemoration of Meriwether Lewis’s death from the October 2009 Hohenwald, Tennessee Grinder’s Stand Bicentennial Program, including “Murder or Suicide?” Also, we'll hear a report from Clarence Stessman on “Sacagawea at Fort Osage." We'll also discuss plans for the 200th anniversary year in 2011.

Don't forget to add our annual recurring programs on June 26, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. and September 15, 2010, 6:00 p.m.

The Missouri-Kansas River bend Chapter supports the Lewis & Clark Trail Heritage Foundation at the local level through events, activities, programs, promotion, and protection of the Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail. In addition, the local chapter encourages local interest in the expedition and related historic sites.
