This will lead us to the next book for the book club…..
The Fate of the Corps, by Larry E. Morris
Where did the men of the corps proceed to? What were their fates? Did they live long lives? Did they become famous? Who lived the longest? Are there pictures of the men? What happened to Meriwether Lewis and William Clark? What happened to York? One member was murdered. One lived to be 86.

Stephanie Ambrose Tubbs presentation at the Kansas City Public Library, April 9, 2009
A note from Dan Sturdevant:
Thanks so much for your excellent attendance at Thursday night's program.
A: Stephenie gave a fine talk,
B. Her question and answer session was particularly good, and
C. the April 2000 (shaky) video of Stephen Ambrose speaking at the
Lewis and Clark Point 8th and Jefferson statue dedication topped it off.
For those of you who met Stephenie at the 4:30 pm session, I know you
enjoyed it even more.
We had about 125 (at least 60 not chapter members) in attendance at the
Downtown Public Library. A few (non chapter member) attendees talked about
joining the chapter.
